Air National Guard Events • There are currently no Air National Guard Yellow Ribbon events scheduled About the Yellow Ribbon program: In July 2008 the NYARNG Soldier and Family Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program was placed into action in conjunction with the passing of Public Law (P.L.) 110-181, which mandates a reintegration program for our returning Soldiers. This program is designed to provide redeploying Soldiers and families a robust support network of information and services available from county, state, federal and private outreach organization upon their return home. The program consists of two mandatory events scheduled approximately 30 and 60 days after Soldiers return home. These events are conducted in an Individual Duty Training (IDT) status. The goal of these events is to reconnect Soldiers and their families with each other and with service providers through workshops and self-paced stations. Stations include: Transition Assistance, Veterans Centers, ESGR, TRICARE, Military Family Life Consultants, Military One Source and many more. The program is conducted in an informal relaxed atmosphere usually in a hotel in the communities in which they serve.

All Soldiers are required to attend and are strongly encouraged to bring their spouse, children and parents (if single). We will be providing the “Boots Off” Program for children ages 6-18, and daycare facilities for ages infant to 5 years old.
